Imagine stand up paddling in the midst of the most visited national park in America…without the crowds. You may not see another person all day. The Sunny Day Adventure Company can get you there.

Fontana Lake

Surrounded by The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and The Nantahala National Forest. The water here is clean and clear, fed by hundreds of mountain streams including the world renowned Nantahala River. The scenery is world class. Covering over 10,000 acres and creating 238 miles of shoreline, Fontana is paradise for outdoor enthusiasts and adventure travelers. Tsali Recreation Area, one of America’s premier mountain biking destinations, borders the south shore. A standup paddle board is the perfect tool for your exploration of Fontana and the Great Smoky Mountains National park without the crowds.

The Sunny Day Adventure Company

We know every corner of Fontana and will find the spot to get you on a SUP in calm water where you will see a side of The Great Smoky Mountains that millions of others won’t.
